Signs of Imminent Whelping
As your dog approaches her due date, watch for these signs that labor is near: temperature drop below 99°F (37.2°C) — typically 12–24 hours before labor; nesting and restlessness; loss of appetite in the last 24 hours; vaginal discharge (clear/mucus); and panting and seeking isolation.
