Our Review Process
At DueDateCalc, accuracy and trust are our highest priorities. Here is how we create, verify, and maintain the quality of our calculators and content.
Research & Drafting
Our content team, led by Ashok Kumar Poudel, researches each topic using peer-reviewed medical literature, ACOG guidelines, and established obstetric textbooks. Every article and calculator is written with accuracy as the top priority.
Medical Review
Each piece of medical content is reviewed by a licensed medical professional. Human pregnancy content is reviewed by Dr. Bina Basnet (OB/GYN), while animal pregnancy content is reviewed by Dr. Sharad Singh Yadav (DVM). Reviewers check all formulas, statistics, and clinical claims.
Calculator Validation
All calculator formulas are independently validated against clinical standards. LMP calculations follow Naegele's Rule as published by ACOG. IVF calculations follow ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine) protocols. We cross-check our results against established clinical tools.
Publishing & Attribution
Every page clearly displays its author and medical reviewer with credentials. Publish dates and last-reviewed dates are tracked internally. Content marked with a 'Medically Reviewed' badge has passed our full review process.
Ongoing Updates
Medical guidelines change. We actively monitor ACOG, WHO, and ASRM publications for updates that may affect our content or calculators. When guidelines update, our content is revised and re-reviewed within 30 days.
Our Editorial Standards
DueDateCalc is an informational resource, not a substitute for medical advice. We are committed to providing accurate, evidence-based information to help people understand their pregnancy timeline. All calculators are for informational purposes only. Individual pregnancies vary, and only a qualified healthcare provider can give you personalized medical advice.
