Even when you’re 32 weeks pregnant, your baby’ arrival may seem miles away, but both you and your baby are getting ready for the big day in several ways.

At this point of time, you’re probably juggling around a lot of issues, mostly important ones such as contacting your health insurance provider or even practicing how to install a baby car seat.

With regards to baby, they are in a head down position and about the size of a squash.

🩺32nd Week Pregnancy Symptoms

In week 32 , your symptoms are bound to get a bit more intense given the fact your contractions and heartburn will become more noticeable. That said, here are a few symptoms you will probably experience when you’re 32 weeks pregnant.

Vaginal discharge

This may seem a bit gross, but a surge in discharge means that your body is getting ready for delivery, mostly because it keeps infections at bay. It you notice discharge that’s a bit more watery, it may mean that your water is broken so call your OB immediately.

Leaky boobs

By the time you get into week 32 , you will notice your boobs getting bigger and may even begin producing your baby’s first milk known as colostrum. Thick yellow fluid will serve as your baby’s first meal in his/her first few days of life.

Shortness of breath

Your baby may be a getting a rich supply of air, but you may be having a hard time trying to catch your breath at times.

Heartburn

This is a common symptom in the second trimester of pregnancy and popping an antacid can provide great relief. Although, they are safe to take for most moms-to-be, it is a good idea to speak to your OB to see if it’s right for you.

You may notice your nipples getting darker, and although your guess is as good as our as to why this may occur, some say that it helps the baby see them better at the time of breastfeeding.

These are probably going to get more frequent and stronger when you’re 32 weeks pregnant. At this stage of pregnancy, you’re at a higher risk of preterm labor, so definitely pay attention to contractions that do not go away.

Your belly when you’re 32 weeks measures roughly between 30 and 34 centimeters and a bit larger if you’re pregnant with twins.

Speaking of twins, your body will feel a bit weighed down mostly because your babies are taking up more room.

As mentioned earlier, your baby’s position is head down when you’re 32 weeks pregnant. Although you may see your OB considering that your recommended visits are twice a month, you probably will not have an ultrasound when you’re at 32 weeks.

However, your doctor may ask for a 32 week ultrasound if you have any pregnancy complications that he/she may want to check.

For example, your OB may want to check if both your twin babies are doing fine by performing extra tests from week 32 onwards.

Your baby when your 32 weeks weighs roughly 3.75lbs and measures 16.69 inches so about the size of a large jicama.

s Your baby’s skin is turning soft and smooth, and has fingernails and toenails, and real hair rather than the peach fuzz in your previous weeks of pregnancy.

At this phase, you’re likely feeling your baby rocking and rolling and this is mostly due to the limited amount of exercise space at the moment.

In terms of position, your baby is probably in a heads down, bottoms up position in preparation for birth. There’s no need to worry if your baby isn’t in a heads down position, because they will be, by the time you’re 36 weeks pregnant.

Make a list of whom to include in the delivery room – Given that childbirth is an extremely personal experience, you have a choice to make as in whom to include in the delivery room such as labor coaches and family members. Roughly 50 percent of moms say that they prefer to have just their partner and medical staff in the room, while another 40 percent say they’d like to include a relative as well. Whatever your wishes are, make sure you keep the hospital staff informed so that they can carry them out.
